EcoCeres Makes First Shipment of Renewable Gasoline to LG Chem in South Korea

23 Jan 2026

EcoCeres has completed its first shipment of renewable gasoline to LG Chem in South Korea, marking a step forward in its decarbonization strategy by expanding its portfolio beyond transportation fuels such as SAF and HVO to include low-carbon material solutions.

The delivered renewable gasoline serves as a direct substitute for fossil gasoline in the production of low-carbon chemicals used in sectors such as packaging, automotive components, and consumer goods. The product is a “biocircular” gasoline, made from waste-based raw materials, with up to a 90% reduction in GHG emissions compared to fossil fuels, based on a comparator of 94 g CO₂e/MJ.

The shipment is ISCC PLUS certified, guaranteeing compliance with sustainability and traceability criteria required by international markets. This transaction strengthens the collaboration between EcoCeres and LG Chem and positions renewable naphtha as a key input for accelerating the bioeconomy and the transition to low-carbon materials.
