19 Dec 2025

EcoCeres announced the start of operations at its new Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production plant located in Johor, Malaysia, making it the first facility of its kind in the country. The start of operations marks a key milestone in the company’s strategy to support the decarbonization of industries facing challenging emissions mitigation.

The plant is now operational ahead of its official inauguration, scheduled for the coming weeks, and represents a concrete step forward in the development of industrial infrastructure focused on emissions reduction and the global scaling up of sustainable fuels.

EcoCeres highlighted the role of the Malaysian government, its local partners, and the technical and operational teams involved in the project’s development, emphasizing that the commissioning of this facility is the result of a collaborative effort among multiple stakeholders.

The company reiterated that the path to net-zero emissions requires more than mere declarations, relying instead on measurable actions, operational infrastructure, and the capacity to scale up to generate international impact. With this plant, EcoCeres strengthens its position as a producer dedicated to low-carbon energy solutions for the aviation sector.
