Archer Completes 55-Mile Flight, Longest by Crewed Midnight

August 18 2025

Salinas, California – August 18, 2025 – Archer Aviation (NYSE: ACHR) announced that its Midnight aircraft successfully completed its longest flight to date, traveling approximately 55 miles in 31 minutes and reaching speeds exceeding 126 mph. The test took place at the company’s flight facility in Salinas, California, in the presence of Mike Leskinen, United Airlines’ Chief Financial Officer, who led the airline’s early investment in Archer.

During the previous week, test flights reached speeds approaching 150 mph in various flight patterns. This latest achievement represents further progress in Archer’s operational expansion program as the company advances toward FAA certification in the United States and its upcoming commercialization in the United Arab Emirates.

Adam Goldstein, Archer’s founder and CEO, stated, “Crossing the 50-mile mark at speed is another clear step toward commercialization that demonstrates the maturity of our program.”

United Airlines CFO Mike Leskinen added, “I have long supported the drive for sustainable forms of aviation. I congratulate the Archer team on this historic flight; I was impressed by how quiet the aircraft was.”

Archer pilots will continue to expand testing in speed, duration, and mission profiles geared toward first commercial operations. This milestone builds on other key advancements in the company’s roadmap, including the strengthening of its manufacturing capability in the United States and the launch of its Launch Edition program in the United Arab Emirates.
