About Us
Who Are We
I have spent my life working in aviation and hi-tech manufacturing. I care deeply about doing what we can to leave a better world to my kids. I have also spend my entire adult life living far from the family and friends I grew up with. Friends and family that the aviation industry has allowed me to stay in regular contact with. My life, as I have chosen to live it, depends on having access to reasonably priced and frequent connections between my family home, my birth home and my place of work. I want to see aviation and physical connection between people from all countries and cultures thrive in a post carbon world.
Our Mission
The transition from fossil-fuel powered to carbon-free powered aviation will mean that radical retooling of the aircraft and airports that represent billions of dollars of invested capital.
It is clear that aviation will need to follow a very different path from electric ground transportation. However the move away from jet engines also opens the door to far more customer-centric aviation industry.
The mission of this site is act as a knowledge and news platform for everyone from investors to students to learn about challenges and opportunities presented by the transition to carbon free aviation, the future of our industry.
Areas of Covered in this website
01.
Technological Developments
This is primary focus of all coverage of carbon free aviation and is the also the main focus of this website.
02.
Climate Commitments
In the short and medium term, until the economics and customer service benefits of electrical aviation improve, this will be the primary driver of the move away from fossil fuel.
03.
Network Design
The migration from combustion to electrically powered aviation will radically change how airlines can optimize their networks, moving passengers away from large hubs and towards direct connections between city pairs.
04.
Infrastructure
Post-fossil fuel aviation will require changes in infrastructure, eVOTL aircraft will require city-wide network of vertiports. Fueling infrastructure may require hydrogen storage and/or battery swapping and charging capabilities.
05.
Regulations
Safety is huge concern in aviation, regulators will need to write a completely new handbook covering every thing from aircraft certification to operation specification.
06.
Customer Experience
Ultimately aviation will follow the needs of its customers, as the technology evolves and more options become possible, the future look of carbon free aviation will be decided by customer preferences.
